The house...

We've found the perfect house out in Waitakere. Bordering on a nature reserve, 15 minutes down a scenic road from wild beaches (see pics in the last post). It has a huge deck in the back and absolutely beautiful views. There's a train station down the road with a little cafe in it, and the train goes all the way downtown. This is going to be wonderful. I feel infinitely thankful.

Drive out to Bethells Beach

Though we are still sick with the flu, I rode out to look at a possible house to rent today, and our friend Annie took me a bit up the road, past the house, on a very scenic drive out to Bethells Beach in West Auckland. It was a nice break from staying inside, though I still have a bit of getting well left to go...

New Zealand Flu

Within a few days of arrival, both Amber and I have caught the flu, and our friends Helen and Chelfyn seem to be coming down with it as well. So, no interesting posts will be coming until we can manage to leave the house again...
