A Walk Around the Neighborhood

Today, Eric and I took a walk to the Titirangi Villiage. The walk took about 40 minutes, but we stopped every 10 – 15 feet to gaze with our jaws dropped at the amazing views. This area is spectacular.

We’re slowing figuring out where to shop. In the US a big grocery store is cheaper than the local owned specialty shop and fresh veggies and fruit is more expensive than cans of veggies and fruits. It is quite the opposite here. Processed foods are a LOT more expensive than buying fresh carrots or apples. Today we bought a loaf of freshly baked sesame seed bread for $1 NZD (or about $0.60 USD). Just down the road are a couple of streets lined with various locally owned specialty shops. The Fruit/Vegetable Store. The Bakery. The Dairy. The Fish Shop. The Meat Shop. The Pet Store. The Bottle Shop (Liquor store) I absolutely love this. I LOVE THIS PLACE!!
